Riders are required to act professionally and take due care when providing delivery services. Our Community guidelines set out the behaviour we expect from riders when they are riding with Deliveroo.
If we are made aware of a rider acting in breach of their supplier agreement, we will investigate and take any appropriate action.
Riders can use a bicycle, scooter, car, motorbike or e-vehicle for deliveries.
Our technology will match each order to the rider who is best able to deliver it safely and efficiently, based on a number of factors such as delivery distance and rider availability.
Deliveroo provides free rider accident insurance and free rider public liability insurance to all riders (and their substitutes) whilst they are logged on to our app and for one hour afterwards.

The safety and well being of riders is our priority. We provide free insurance and reflective kit for all riders, and run regular road safety campaigns.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Deliveroo introduced contact-free delivery and pickup. Riders can also request free face masks and hand sanitisers from Deliveroo.
If a rider experiences symptoms of COVID-19, or needs to self-isolate, they can apply for our Rider Support Fund which was established to help riders financially while they can't work.
Riders can also apply for a fully-funded junior degree level scholarship or complete one of 700 free online courses via our skills partner, OpenClassrooms.
